Licence Plate Programs/Canadian Credit Cards/Provincial Travel Insurance
Posted date : Nov 6, 2017.
Dear Bird Talk,
Suggest that you would assist snowbirds in Florida if you could integrate this licence plate program with help in getting service stations to stop refusing to accept Canadians with credit cards with only five characters in their zip codes. Also to get provincial governments to honour federal obligations regarding travel insurance.

Ed: The war continues with the provincial governments.
The federal government has sent a letter to all of the provinces requesting that they comply with the Canada Health Act. This is a huge benefit to CSA and we have been using this letter in an attempt to have the offending provinces (which is most of them) follow the law. Progress IS being made.
As to the gas purchases, we have found that the best solution when asked for a zip code is to put in the three numbers in your postal code and two zeros. (i.e. if M3B 2T5 is your postal code, then enter 32500). This has always worked for us in Florida and we do buy a lot of gas all over the state.
