Debra Ann MacLean worked in the Federal Government with Environment Canada but with her bilingual assets she was on loan to various departments including ACOA (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), Crown Assets Canada, Statistics Canada and Foreign Affairs Canada with whom she worked the Halifax G-7 World Leaders Summit as Office Manager. Following two years of retirement from her Federal Gov’t position Debra Ann began volunteering for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). This led to her second career for the next 14 years ending in 2020, at that time Debra Ann was Regional Director for Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada and had served on TOPS’ Board of Directors for 6 years. Debra Ann MacLean lives in Nova Scotia and spends her winters in Winter Haven Florida. She is a mother of 4, grandmother of 8 and has been married to her husband Dan for 42 years.
