2025 Federal Election Handbook

On Monday, April 28, 2025, the citizens of Canada will choose their next federal government. As a member of the Canadian Snowbird Association (CSA), now is the time to ensure your voice is heard.

If you will be outside of Canada during the election, you can vote by mail. To vote by mail, apply online at www.elections.ca or at any Elections Canada office across the country. You must apply by Tuesday, April 22, 6 p.m.

Step 1: Apply to vote by mail as soon as possible.

Step 2: Elections Canada will mail you a voting kit. When you decide on the candidate you want to vote for, write the name of the candidate on your ballot. To find the most recent list of confirmed candidates, check the Elections Canada online Voter Information Service at www.elections.ca. While the list is updated daily, the final list will not be available until after the nomination process closes on Monday, April 7.

Step 3: Mail your completed ballot back to Elections Canada

Your voting kit contains everything you need to return your ballot to Elections Canada, including a prepaid envelope. Follow the instructions in your kit.
